Pinterest Trends alternative
A Pinterest Trends alternative for when one platform isn't enough
Pinterest Trends is free and first-party: what people search, save and shop on Pinterest, up to two years back, by country, age and gender, with predictions where Pinterest has them. It shows one platform, as an index from 0 to 100. Next Big checks whether a rise holds across the web with the Next Big Pulse, with searches a month and where it's heading.
Compared on October 20, 2026, from Pinterest Trends' own pages. Every source.
Before you switch, save
What to keep from Pinterest Trends, so nothing you built there is lost.
- Keep a list of the terms you follow. Pinterest's help page for Trends names no export, so the list is the thing to bring.
In short
Choose Next Big if
- You want to know a Pinterest trend holds off Pinterest: every trend here is confirmed by the Next Big Pulse, with its sources named on its page.
- You need a number: searches a month and the value of a click, not an index from 0 to 100.
- You want to see what to build or sell around a trend: markets, product types and scored business ideas.
Stay with Pinterest Trends if
- You plan pins, products or campaigns for Pinterest and want what its users search and save, free.
- You need audiences outside the US, by age, gender and interest.

Questions
Is Pinterest Trends free?
Yes. It works with a Pinterest business account, which is free to open; some features are for advertisers, and audience trends need a large enough audience.
Does Pinterest Trends show search volume?
No. Each line is the share of Pinterest searches for a term, with its highest point indexed to 100 and its lowest to 0. Next Big shows searches a month for US searches.
How far back does Pinterest Trends go?
Up to two years, by region and country. You can compare up to four keywords at once.

Does Pinterest Trends have an API?
Pinterest's API has a trending keywords endpoint: growing, monthly, yearly and seasonal keywords by region. Next Big will offer an MCP server and REST API on every paid plan at launch, read-only on Founder.
