What is GLP?

GLP is shorthand most people use for GLP-1, the gut hormone glucagon-like peptide-1, and the drugs that mimic it, such as semaglutide in Ozempic and Wegovy and tirzepatide in Mounjaro and Zepbound, used for type 2 diabetes and weight loss.
