What is antiperspirant?

Antiperspirant refers to underarm products that reduce sweat with aluminium-based compounds, as opposed to deodorants that only mask odour, sold as sticks, sprays, roll-ons and clinical-strength formulas, and increasingly for use on the whole body. People search it to compare brands, find products for heavy sweating and weigh aluminium-free alternatives. In practice, the buyers are nearly all adults and teenagers, with growth from clinical-strength and whole-body products. Brands such as Degree, Dove, Secret and Carpe compete with newer direct-to-consumer labels. It is a large, recurring-purchase category with room for niche formulas.
